ALL
autoimmune disorders are variations of the same theme.
They
are NOT the body attacking itself.
The body is slowly and painfully dying from poisons exceeding its capacity to
detoxify. The evidence abounds in the
scientific literature, but is being ignored and wrongly interpreted as "the
body attacking itself."
This is the greatest blunder of modern medicine.
There is hope, a future without pain, and an economical path that can change
your life and put you back in control.
Donna Fezler
How
could modern medicine be so wrong about this?
Click here to read about the July 26, 2000 JAMA report on US medicine
pinpointing the third leading cause of death in the US as doctors (and
their pharmaceuticals). This report ranks American health,
with the highest medical costs in the world, 12th of 13 in parameters
studied.
What if your disease was not the body attacking itself but the body slowly being
poisoned? What would you differently if you had an option of learning to
live with pain or learning to do things that would counteract the poison and
abate the pain? Give yourself time to read this site, if you got this far
you have been sick a long time already. Maybe now, you have just entered
into a different world-one of hope and perhaps another chance at a normal
life. How can we so arrogantly say this? Read the following
and imagine this disorder was discovered now instead of hundreds of years
ago:
Can you identify this autoimmune disorder?
capillary rupture
bleeding gums
multiple spontaneous bruises
weakness
sore muscles in appendages
anemia
irregular heartbeat
difficulty breathing
in children there may be bone abnormalities, failure to thrive
Imagine the attempts at finding the "problem" gene, the regimens of
steroids or chemotherapy, the support groups for sufferers that would emerge as
millions of dollars are poured into research to solve this insidious disease
where the body is obviously attacking itself.
Thank goodness the problem was solved before modern medicine got a hold of it: this
is scurvy-a simple vitamin C deficiency!
Fibromyalgia and Chronic
Fatigue are the variations of the same condition
Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS)
are now believed to be two degrees of the same condition. Usually affecting
women, those with CFS in their thirties develop Fibromyalgia in their
forties. Men are increasingly being diagnosed with the disease. Trauma or a
severe disease, both high toxin situations, can be the initiating event.
Treatment options are not very good and often include such ridiculous
notions as "coping with pain". I was a burn patient
and anyone even suggesting such a wacky idea deserves to be ignored.
Also, if my medical care provider suggested my fibromyalgia pain was
hypochondria I would find another one.
Fibromyalgia can be managed and reversed with nutritional
support because it is NOT a disease but a reaction to toxins.
That is probably the first time anyone has said that and
meant it. We clean our homes with chemicals that didn't exist 100 years ago.
We spray our lawns with pesticides and herbicides that kill living things.
Our bodies are not designed to handle the toxin load that we subject them
to.
ATP
energy depletion in Fibromyalgia and Chronic fatigue
Energy depletion is a major issue in
Fibromyalgia. Not only the physical exhaustion and depression, but literally
ATP energy depletion in the afflicted muscles. ATP is involved in many, many
processes in the body including detoxification. Not only do toxins directly
destroy ATP, but the detoxification process further depletes the supply of
ATP. Sustaining this energy is crucial.
ATP production is a demonstrated problem in chronic fatigue syndrome and
fibromyalgia. Fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome both have suppressed
hormone levels and reduced ATP production. ATP is involved in numerous
body processes as the energy molecule, so decreased ATP levels will have
profound effects on the body. Environmental toxins and stress deplete
ATP. Furthermore, ATP is required to detoxify further stressing the ATP
system, It is this low level ATP depletion that leaves a person disabled
from fatigue and pain. It is imperative to augment the body's ability to
produce ATP and detoxify. Fibromyalgia can be addressed as a nutritional
deficiency like scurvy.
Dioxin-the poison that
interferes with thyroid and estrogen hormones
|
The latest research indicates that fibromyalgia
is caused by a defect in the thyroid hormone signaling
system. Although the blood hormones levels may look normal, all
symptoms suggest severe hypothyroidism. Although the
hormone appears to be there the body is not able to properly use it.
Since it cannot be explained it is called thyroid resistance. The
thyroid affects mood and depression, digestion, as well as metabolism and
energy. The defect seems to be the ever-present dioxin, a ubiquitous
chlorinated poison that is also part of Agent Orange. It is has a structure
very similar to one of the forms of thyroid hormone and appears to fool the
body into thinking it has enough of the hormone. This is similar to the
action we see with other hormone disrupters,
the xenoestrogens.
This explains why very high levels of natural
thyroid supplementation has been shown to be effective in fibromyalgia (John
C. Lowe) although Synthroid, the synthetic thyroid hormone, is not always
well tolerated. We also avoid non-fermented soy foods, such as tofu and soy
milk, which has an inhibitory effect on the thyroid. |

How are we exposed to dioxin?
The major sources of dioxin are in our diet. Since dioxin is fat-soluble, it
bioaccumulates up the food chain and it is mainly (97.5%) found in meat and
dairy products (beef, dairy products, milk, chicken, pork, fish and eggs in that
order... see chart below). In fish alone, these toxins bioaccumulate up the food
chain so that dioxin levels in fish are 100,000 times that of the surrounding
environment.
In EPA's dioxin report, they refer to dioxin as hydrophobic. This means
that dioxin, when it settles on water bodies, will avoid the water and find a
fish to go in to. The same goes for other wildlife. Dioxin will find animals to
go in to, working its way to the top of the food chain.
Men have no ways to get rid of dioxin other than letting it break down according
to its chemical half-lives. Women, on the other hand, have two ways which it can
exit their bodies:
-
It crosses the placenta... into the growing infant;
-
It is present in the fatty breast milk, which is also a route of exposure which
doses the infant, making breast-feeding for non-vegetarian mothers quite
hazardous.

Body
fats and toxins-those extra pounds have nothing to do with willpower!
Besides
the weight gain, depression, and fatigue that are associated with reduced
thyroid hormones, many toxins are fat-soluble and are stored in body fat.
Worldwide, human milk contains PCBs and dioxin, sometimes at dangerously high
levels. The fat of the small whales in the St Lawrence Seaway has such high
levels of toxins that the dead animals have to be treated as hazardous waste.
Researchers have found that female mice put on diets repeatedly had higher
levels of toxins in their systems during the low calorie periods, probably
released from the fat. They also felt that it was repeated dieting that
increased cancer risk from toxin release rather than excess body fat. Dioxins
have a half-life of 7 years in the body and are stored in the fatty tissues.
Your fat is part of the toxin protective mechanism.
Detoxification: the point where the body chooses pain over poison
Sulfur joins with ATP in two
steps to form the detoxifying substance PAPS, (phospho adenosine
phosphosulftate). The body can detoxify or rebuild. Both ATP and
sulfur are very important in many other rebuilding body processes, but the
detoxifying process competes with the rebuilding process. You haven't
heard this before because this is a significant part of our discovery
that led to the ATP Boost patent. So during rebuilding your body is
struggling to rebuild parts of the joints, skin, cornea, intestine, hair and
nails, produce some hormones including thyroid hormone, or produce the
energy necessary to move.
It is here that we think that
autoimmune disorders can have their origin as a nutritional deficiency, as
reversible as scurvy as long as there is no permanent damage, and we can reduce
the toxin and stress load (stress depletes ATP) on the body. Increase the
components necessary, through nutrition, to detoxify and rebuild and reverse the
syndromes.
Diet
Why
organic or free range meats? Body
fat is a toxin storage depot
Diet can have a tremendous impact on the pain and fatigue of fibromyalgia. Our
diet is full of synthetic additives, altered proteins, and adulterated fats.
Combined with the recommended supplements is a strict regimen of healthy
fats and oils. Dioxin is drawn to fat like iron filings to a magnet and
stored there until it degrades very slowly over years. The obesity syndrome
is not a function of poor self-control but a function of the body needing
more space to store the poison and the last thing we need is poison fats.
The goal is to reduce the toxin load so the body can naturally detoxify at a
quicker rate than the poisons are introduced.
If we look at body fat under
the principles of Darwinian Medicine then it becomes a survival
adaptation. The body is trying to survive by producing enough room to
store the dangerous poisons.
Trans fats, refined fats, and hydrogenated fats are medically documented
poisons. In our house, we only have olive oil, flax oil, coconut oil, non-BST
(synthetic growth hormone given to cows) or organic butter, and lard. Literally remove all the other fats from the house.
Cookies, baked goods, and salad dressings are loaded with these poisonous
fats. After removing these fats from your diet, don't be surprised if your
symptoms improve drastically in a few weeks time as your body rids itself of
the poison fats. We make our own mayonnaise and thoroughly enjoy the cookies
and cakes made with these healthy fats and free-range eggs.
Farm raised salmon has a totally different fatty acid profile than wild
salmon, so do not consider it "fish oil" nutrition when you eat
it. A study last year showed that 95% of fish oil supplements are rancid and
will therefore increase your toxin load. This may increase
your pain; it does for me. We use flax oil and evening primrose oil for our
essential fatty acid needs.
Fat-free food is a dangerous fallacy and probably only succeeds because by
restricting all fats the bad fats are also restricted. We do occasionally
consume bad fats, but we also take liver detoxifiers like silymarin (milk
thistle extract) and licorice. Silymarin can also mitigate the effects of
dioxin on the liver. Healthy clean fats and a detox formula are also a
defense against cancer.
Animal protein is very important. As explained in the patent, the body uses
animal protein to help detoxify. Some of the sickest people who have called
me were strict vegans. An interesting website by some "reformed"
vegetarians : www.beyondveg.com.
Vegetarianism just isnt right for everyone.
Commercial meats are loaded with antibiotics (chicken and red meat) and
hormones (beef), so seek out free-range animals; this is why we have a small
flock of free-range exotic chickens and grow Cornish Cross broilers. My
small egg study comparing free-range eggs to grocery store eggs should be
enough to make anyone question if cheap eggs have any nutritional value.
Sally Fallon's book, Nourishing Traditions, goes into great detail on
the importance of clean animal fats in the diet. Her site is:

ATP BOOST-
6-8 pills per day for the first 5 days and decrease to 4/ day
The ATP Boost (rhea extract) patent contains detailed biochemical pathways
showing the direct path from toxins to autoimmune disorders. It is posted
on the USPTO site. ATP Boost provides safe energy for people with
fibromyalgia, allergies, chronic fatigue syndrome or anyone wanting an energy
or immune boost. Feel the difference! ATP Boost is not a
stimulant and will not react with your medications.
